Principles of Field Geology

Responsibilities

Lead laboratory sections designed to develop and practice critical field and mapping skills. Attend field trips, assist students in fieldwork, help oversee camp set-up and break-down.

Topics Covered

Using a Brunton compass and orienteering, reading topographic maps, interpreting and making geologic maps, sedimentary rock ID.
